Biography

Born and raised in Israel, I received my BA in Poetics and Comparative Literature in 2001, and a Certificate in Copyediting in 2002 at Tel-Aviv University. I earned an MST in Jewish Studies from Oxford University in 2008, and a Ph.D.  in Comparative Literature at
the University of Washington, Seattle, in summer 2012.

My fields of interest and teaching include Hebrew language, as well as Hebrew, Yiddish, and Jewish-American literature. My research focuses on literature of the Holocaust, most specifically the characterization of perpetrators and the writing of Yehiel Dinur.

I have taught at the University of Washington and Portland State University. As of Fall 2016, I am an Assistant Professor of Hebrew at Bucknell University.
