Marta Werner, co-chair of the MLA’s Committee on Scholarly Editions,is the author and editor of Emily Dickinson’s Open Folios: Scenes of Reading, Surfaces of Writing (1995); Ordinary Mysteries: The Common Journal of Nathaniel and Sophia Hawthorne (2006); Radical Scatters: An Electronic Archive of Emily Dickinson’s Late Fragments and Related Texts (2010); and “The World Will Not Come to A”: Hannah Weiner’s The book Of Revelations, Jacket 2 (2011). Her numerous grants and awards include the Jo Ann Boydston Essay Prize, the Fredson Bowers Prize from the Society of Textual Scholarship, the AAUP Faculty Scholar Award, and the Outstanding Faculty Award from the Department of Liberal Arts at D’Youville College. Her current projects include work on Herman Melville, Helen Keller (and the literature of disability), and Hannah Weiner.
